Births and deaths that have occurred since 1909 in Geauga County are registered with the Vital Statistics office of Geauga Public Health. Records for births and deaths were not kept in the State of Ohio until 1909. The Geauga County Public Library at 110 E. Park St., Chardon, Ohio 44024, houses records from 1867 to 1908. Certified copies of birth and death records are available in our office, by mail or online for $25.00 each. Only cash or check is accepted at the office. Credit cards can be processed online or by phone for an additional fee.
